Yep, my fish died today...

See, this is the first real death I've had in my family... well, the first real one that I can understand... the others were either when I was too little to understand, or they were people I didn't even know.

So, this is the first fish we've ever had... we got it because my brother wanted it. It was a beautiful mostly-red rainbow betta. We never could decide on a name for it, so we just called it "Fish". So, I fed him all of the time, and Mom cleaned his bowl most of the time... but we had been forgetting to feed him lately, and his bowl hadn't been cleaned in weeks. One day, I got really worried and cleaned the bowl myself (but I forgot to feed him that night, too). Today, I woke up and he looked like he was still asleep. So I tried to wake him up so he could get his breakfast. But... he didn't get up. We hoped he was asleep, but when I got home from school today... he was dead. I cried so much because... well, this is the first REAL death I've ever really had. I'm so sad...
